The concept of this Hall is based upon what Dr. Marie-Jeanne Adams formulated upon the objective of an ethnographic exposition: "to Transmit by means of the collections of the museums the knowledge that the specialists possess about other cultures and other societies". (Adams, 1984:15-16). Through maps, photographies, texts and graphic representations , the objects are shown trying to integrate in a conceptual whole, where the objects or sets of objects acquire sense upon linking them with the images of their daily use and the text where its function is explained relative to the society that creates them. |
The space of the Permanent Expositions Hall is divided in six rooms: General Hall, Piaroa Hall, Guajibo Hall, Yanomami Hall (independent), Arawak Hall and Ye'kwana Hall (caribe).
