As an extension those galleries dedicated to the applied arts in Mexico, the museum also features four installations where objects from various countries can be appreciated as they were actually used in the past. These installations have been formed using the floors that were salvaged upon restoring the building and employ diverse elements from Mayer's collection: doors, windows, tiles, etc. A bedroom, a chapel, a living room and a kitchen have been placed in settings which simulate the way of life during the Colonial period.
